Neïz’aui
Nay-owz-wy
This +1 Striking cutlass deals an additional 1d6 damage to sedacthy. It can only be wielded by an aquatic or amphibious were-creature. If a creature without those parameters attempts to wield it, it has the effects of an authorized rune.
Eons ago, the tritons crossed from the plane of water to our world. They were chased by a monstrous race called the Sahuagin, the sea devils, the Sedacthy. Over the centuries, the Triton and Sedacthy have fought vicious wars that often spilled over to other aquatic, and even landlubbing, communities.
In the Age of Legends, a triton/wereshark pirate named Vizquario led his crew of weresharks against the sedacthy in a brutal campaign to free several major triton settlements. Wielding his enchanted blade, the Neïz’aui, he became a blood enemy of the ancient race. This made him a hero of his own people and afforded him, at the end of his life, interrence in a Hall of Heroes in the once mighty coral city of Porrenzikbar. In the eons since, the city has been abandoned and grown over by the coral. The party found this weapon in the possession of a demented cecaelia Witch and her grindylow cronies.
